E-Rupi developed by National Payments Corporation of India & the Ministry of Health & the Family Welfare launched by Prime Minister of India on 2nd August 2021 is currently aiming , for leak proof delivery welfare services like medicines, nutritional support, Mother & Child Welfare, TB eradication, Drugs & Diagnostics programmes. In future the E-Rupi can be used for Employee welfare and Corporate Social Responsibility programmes

E-Rupi by Government of India and Digital Currency by RBI-CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) are expected to bring revolution in financial payments landscape in India.
